Hey guys. Exciting news - it's less than a week to go before the release of Legacy of the Dragonkin, the sequel to Trapped on Draconica and I'm here to let you guys have a quick sneak peak at a few things that are happening in the build up to it.

Firstly, a quick synopsis to get your teeth into:

Just over ten years have passed since the Invasion of the Baalarian Empire and Draconica has returned to a natural state of peace – although the wounds left from it still linger with a few countries.

Benji Dragonkin aspires to be a hero, just like his mother – Queen Daniar Dragonkin. He wants to become a famous warrior so that he can save the day – and win the heart of his long time friend, Lydia Taurok. But with his mother being overly protective of him, and a dark side to his father that threatens to tear their family apart, Benji has a long way to go just yet.

Zarracka Dragonkin, still a prisoner of Daniar, plots her revenge against her sister – and Benji may just be the key to her victory.

And in the land of Drewghaven, the Kthonian Knights arise once more, determined to once again bring forth their revenge against the men of the world. Their leader, Jihadain, seeks to settle old scores with Daniar – and break her spirit in the process.

With villains gathering and allies faltering, Benji sees this as a chance to prove himself a true warrior. But even more harrowing is a warning that his mother receives, foreshadowing a greater evil:

"She is coming..."

I can now also reveal the cover to the book, drawn by the amazingly talented Alexis M Centeno. It features our protagnonist, Benji Dragonkin, and his pet grimalkin, Wispy.

Only one day to go guys! The Trapped on Draconica Blog Tour is close to getting underway!

I for one have been VERY excited about this - and I'm sure you guys have to! This coming week I will be jumping around the blogosphere and providing some pretty amazing blogs and talks. To remind you all of what the schedule is for this week, this is the list!

19/11/12 – Unwritten – Author of the Tallenmere series Mysti Parker interviews some of the cast of Trapped on Draconica in a special insight into the characters and their motivations.

20/11/12 – Sasha Summers – I do a little post on Greek Mythology and how I feel it inspired the Fantasy Genre in general.

21/11/12 – Sheenan Freitas – I talk with a fellow Manga fan about how its art inspired my writing and how it continues to this day.

22/11/12 – Michelle Horst – This will be a little bit about the story of Trapped on Draconica, for those not entirely sure what the book is about.

23/11/12 – Alana Woods – I am in an interview with Alana Woods as I reveal a little about myself and my writing.

24/11/12 – Trickster Eric - The creator of the Trapped on Draconica TV Tropes page asks me a little bit about the world of Draconica, for those interested in the history of the planet. It also covers some areas of the world that wasn't fully explored in the books. This is exciting!

25/11/12 – Read2Review - Magic and Science have been the driving forces behind Fantasy and Science - but is there a way that they can work TOGETHER? This is a little post that I'll be doing with my very good friends at Read2Review and talk a little about how both of them helped in the creation of the novel.

Each day I'll be posting a link to the post on my blog so that you can follow this tour. I'll also be adding the posts to the Facebook page and event page so that you can keep up with what's going on!

Draconica - The New Era was a short story prequel that I originally posted on Smashwords back in 2011, but I've decided to ressurect it for this blog tour! This short story is set ten years before Trapped on Draconica and details the final days of Dronor, the one who created the Dragonkin. It also marks the last days of the dragons on Draconica. It's here! The big release of All Hail Emperor Gothon, the anticipated prequel to Trapped on Draconica has finally hit the writing world! Now you guys can get to see how Emperor Gothon became the mad emperor that he was in Trapped on Draconica and find out what REALLY happened to make him snap.

The novel is essentially my own version of a Shakespeare Tragedy, mixed in with a little bit of the classic play Caligula, by Albert Camus - but still set in the world of Draconica. Thought that Fantasy was all swords and sorcery? This is a slightly different spin on the Fantasy genre, taking it into a darker direction.

The novel is currently available from Smashwords - with Amazon Kindle to follow. At the moment, I seem to be having some problems with formatting it to the Kindle (as is always the case with Amazon!) but you can get a kindle format from Smashwords along with other formats. For those new to Smashwords, you do need to sign up to buy books - but there are a whole host of new and indie authors out there waiting to be discovered so I highly recommend it!
